林希映


出生于首尔,起初就读于韩国国立艺术大学预科与艺苑艺术学校,荣获包括著名的校友奖等诸多奖项。15岁考入韩国国立艺术大学,成为该校有史以来最年轻的学生。随后去美国新英格兰音乐学院深造,毕业后考入法国巴黎国立高等音乐学院,师从世界著名大提琴家菲利普·穆勒,以最优成绩毕业。她也曾就读于德国魏玛李斯特音乐学院,获得最高演奏文凭。

在当红指挥雅尼克·涅杰-瑟贡担任鹿特丹爱乐乐团首席指挥时, 林希映被任命为乐团大提琴首席。演奏之外,教学工作也成为林希映音乐生命的重要组成部分,她曾在全球各地举办大师班,其中包括韩国首尔梨花女子大学,荷兰鹿特丹音乐学院,巴黎吕埃-玛尔梅松音乐学院和印尼雅加达大学等高等学府。如今她是北京中央音乐学院特聘大提琴教授。

作为独奏家的林希映,近年与诸多乐团有过合作经历,其中包括德意志柏林室内乐团、布达佩斯广播爱乐乐团、华沙国家爱乐乐团、耶拿爱乐乐团、休斯顿交响乐团、KBS交响乐团、首尔交响乐团、巴登巴登爱乐乐团、罗伊特林根符腾堡爱乐乐团、万隆爱乐乐团,韩国室内乐团、仁川交响乐团、宁波交响乐团、萨格勒布独奏家乐团等。

除此以外,她也是韩国广播电台、WETA、WFMT、KUHF、RTKK和波兰广播电台的特邀客座嘉宾。林希映是现代音乐的拥护者,对演奏现代音乐充满热忱,以此支持当代作曲家的作品。在在即将到来的2019-2020乐季,她将参加韩国统营国际音乐节,作为独奏家同萨格勒布独奏家乐团,雅加达交响乐团合作演出;她还将与中韩的各大交响乐团同台演出,其中包括韩国交响乐团,水原爱乐乐团,大邱交响乐团、光州交响乐团和江南交响乐团,以及北京交响乐团、武汉爱乐乐团;她将完成巴赫大提琴组曲集的演奏,并同大提琴家菲利普·穆勒在北京开办双大提琴音乐会;除此之外,2020年1月她将在珠海艺术节上举办六场巴赫大提琴组曲集专场音乐会。

2018年11月,林希映发行了自己的首张个人专辑,该专辑为林希映同伦敦交响乐团合作、由索尼古典唱片公司录制发行。专辑得到《留声机》、《弦乐》和《BBC音乐》等世界权威音乐杂志的好评。预计2019年秋季,林希映将发行个人第二张专辑《俄罗斯大提琴奏鸣曲》。

《华盛顿邮报》曾这样评价大提琴家林希映,称赞她是“一位才华横溢的音乐家,她的琴声饱满且富有歌唱性;她演奏的每一个音符是感情的自然流露并体现出近乎完美的技巧”,通过自己的不懈努力,林希映已成为当代最有魅力、成长速度最快的大提琴家之一。

Hee-Young Lim is recognized as one of the foremost cellists of her generation. Praised by The Washington Post as "a deeply gifted musician" with "an exceptional sense of lyricism" and "near-flawless technique", “exceptionally refined, silkily lyrical sound" (Gramophone Magazine) She has released three albums for the Sony Classical. Her debut album “French Cello Concertos” with the London Symphony Orchestra, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, London, for Sony Classical. This recording was received with great critical acclaim, drawing praise for her "exceptionally refined, silkily lyrical sound" (Gramophone Magazine), and leading one reviewer to exclaim that "Lim outshines her contemporaries in the warmth of expressiveness of her tone, which is of truly rare beauty" (BBC Music Magazine). In December 2019, she released the first in a series of collaborations with pianist, Daniel Lindemann, again on Sony Classical. Her most recent recording ‘Russian Cello Sonatas’ was released in June 2020 and the Observer described her as "a rising star" and praised her “…poised and transparent account...". Her third album “DUO” with Philippe MULLER was released in November 2020.

Hee-Young embraces a wide-ranging repertoire and has a particular passion for championing the works of today’s leading young composers. Most recently, she gave the Asian premiere of Jakub Jankowski’s Cello Sonata at the Tongyeong International Music Festival. A devotee of J.S. Bach, she performed a complete cycle of the Bach 6 Cello Suites at the Zhuhai International Festival.

She was appointed to the Principal Cellist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and now serves as Professor of Cello at the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music.

Performances

Hee-Young has performed as a soloist with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Budapest Radio Philharmonic, Zagreb Soloists, Berlin Chamber Orchestra, Baden-Baden Philharmonic, Huston Symphony, the KBS Symphony Orchestra, the Korean Symphony, and has given recitals at the Kennedy Center,

She enjoys special support from the Gewa music as a representative artist.

Honors and Awards

In 2008 she won the 1st Prize at the Sorantin International Competition, 1st prize at the Chicago’s Barnett Cello Competition, Silver medal at the Ima Hogg International Competition

In 2009, she won the 1st Prize at the Washington String Competition, Carl Flesch Akademie Prize in 2010,

3rd Prize at the Lutoslawski International Cello Competition in Poland in 2011 She has appeared in Verbier Festival, Reingau Musik Festival, Edinburgh Festival.

Educational Experience

Hee-Young attended Preparatory division of the Korean National University of Arts at age 11 and studied at the Yewon Arts Middle School where she was awarded the distinguished alumni award. Upon graduation, she got into the Korean National University of Arts when she was 15 as the youngest bachelor student in the class of Myung-Wha Chung. She moved to the United States to further her studies with Laurence Lesser at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Later she entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique de Paris in the class of Professor Philippe Muller, she graduated with the highest distinction unanimously. She earned her Konzertexamen degree at the Weimar Musikhoschule while studying with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt.
