
郭新 (Guo Xin),中央音乐学院作曲系教授
1986年获得天津音乐学院作曲系作曲理论专业硕士学位后,任教于中央音乐学院作曲系。1992年赴美国,先后获卡內基·梅隆大学钢琴演奏硕士学位、康涅迪格州立大学音乐理论硕士学位、佛罗里达州立大学音乐理论博士学位。2003年至2008年居美国洛杉矶,任英文杂志《音乐中国》编辑。2008年回国,任教于中央音乐学院,现为作曲系教授,音乐分析专业硕士与博士生导师、作曲技术理论英文翻译专业硕士生导师。所教课程包括:作曲与指挥系本科四年级《现代音乐技术与分析》,作曲系硕士研究生《现代音乐分析方法》、《中国近现代作曲技法衍变》,博士研究生《作曲与作曲技术理论专业文献研读》及研究生《西方音乐语汇与技法的衍变》等课程。
学术关注和研究的领域较广,从西方传统音乐理论与作品的分析到近现代作曲技术理论,以及中西方作曲技术理念与实践的融合,对旅美作曲家陈怡的作品有较深入的研究,近期更多地致力于对20世纪以来中国专业作曲家创作理念和作曲技术衍变的研究。近年来参与国家社科基金项目与学院科研处教材建设等项目,已在《中央音乐学院学报》、《中国音乐学》、《中国音乐》、《音乐艺术》、《黄钟》等学刊发表论文数篇,出版多篇译文、译著以及英文学术专著,多次参加国内和国际学术会议。
Biographical Sketch:
Born in Beijing, China, and after working as a theory teacher at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing for six years, GUO Xin came to the United States for her further study in 1992. She earned the master of music degree in piano performance at Carnegie Mellon University in 1995 and the master of art degree in music theory at the University of Connecticut in 1999. She received her doctoral of philosophy degree in music theory at the Florida State University in 2002. Worked as an editor of the Journal of Music in China in Los Angeles, California for five years, she has been professor of Music Theory at the Department of Composition, Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China since 2008. The courses her has taught are 20th Century Techniques and Analysis, the Evolution of Concepts, Techniques and Idioms in Western Music Repertories, the Contemporary Analytic Methods in Music of West and China, Literature Readings of Composition and Music Theory, and Analysis of Contemporary Chinese Music for undergraduate and graduate students.
GUO Xin’s research includes Western traditional and contemporary compositional techniques and analysis as well as the fusion of Western and non-Western musical concepts and materials, and has profound study recently on works of Chinese composers in or from mainland China, including Chinese composers XIAO Youmei, HUANG Zi, HE Luting, WU Zuqiang, DU Ming-xin, YU Hui-yong, LIU Zhuang, YANG Liqing, HUANG Anlun, WANG Ning, WANG Jian-min, LI Bin-yang, XIANG Min, as well as Chinese-American composer CHEN Yi’s compositions.
